What the extension shows you.
Which AI extensions
Writing assistants, ChatGPT sidebars, summarisers — the AI tools quietly installed in your browser, named.
Who can read everything
Which extensions hold “read & change data on every site you visit” — the broadest, most sensitive access there is.
Your browser AI purity
One score, so you can see your exposure at a glance — the browser version of Aipurity’s device scan.
The extension is just the browser
The site sees everything else.
A browser can’t read your processes, ports or disk. Aipurity’s device scan finds the AI agents and leftover secrets on your actual machine — and the detectors check whether an image, voice or video is AI. All free, all in your browser.
Common questions.
Is the extension free?+
Yes — completely free, no account, no trial. It’s a small utility that runs entirely in your browser; there’s nothing to pay for.
Does it upload anything?+
No. It reads your list of installed extensions locally to compute the score, and shows the result only to you. Nothing is sent to any server — it has no analytics or tracking.
What can it actually see?+
Only which extensions you have installed and how much site access each one holds (via Chrome’s management API). It cannot read the pages you visit or your browsing history — and it has no permission to.
Why can’t a normal website do this?+
A web page is sandboxed and can’t see your other extensions. Only an extension can — which is exactly why this check lives in one.
